Circle Time Solutions (CTS) is more than a program: it is a democratic & respectful pedagogy to develop social/emotional skills & a positive classroom ethos. CTS builds resilience and mental health, promotes empathy, reduces bullying and fosters school connectedness. This builds an effective learning environment.
This full day course will:
- Introduce the philosophy and principles underpinning Circles
- Give participants the opportunity to experience a range of Circle activities
- Give participants confidence is facilitating Circles with students
- Outline research on how to maximise positive outcomes
- Report on what teachers and students say about the differences it makes
- Give opportunities to ask questions and explore issues
- Give guidance on getting Circle Solutions started in your class
- Provide information on resources.
